Brand Focus: Simplify My Home
Back in lockdown 1.0, when there was no take out, no restaurants, no anything, and we were all cooking what felt like 47 meals a day, I decided it was finally time to tackle my disorganised spice drawer. I wanted something that was functional and hopefully made my spice drawer magically turn into something that looked like The Home Edit came into my house. Alas, The Home Edit isn’t in New Zealand, but I found an inspired-by Kiwi version called Simplify My Home. Think of it as Home-Edit-Light.
While I started this project in lockdown 1.0, I didn’t actually finish it until lockdown 2.0 thanks in part to delayed product shipping - which the company was very communicative and apologetic for - and kids always up in my business, but the wait was worth it. The uniform spice jars work and look great, and so far, I haven’t broken any of them. (That’s my one complaint about the spice jars - are they so thin that they’re prone to breaking? Only time will tell…)
So if you’re inspired after two lockdowns to do a little home (re)organisation, check out this Kiwi company for inspiration, resources, and even hands-on help.
Side note: the recipe I mention in this video can be found here. It’s quickly becoming a family favorite dish!
