Grocery Haul #17
My apologies for being inconsistent with posting as of late. Between homeschooling and not much going on (thanks covid and lockdown!) there hasn’t been loads to write about. However, it is time for another grocery haul because a) we’re fully into warm weather food (yeah!) and b) food prices in New Zealand have gone noticeably up the past month or so. We haven’t been plagued with long term and noticeable shortages of anything, though there have been frequent blips when something may be out of stock for a couple of weeks. There was the predictable flour rush at the beginning of lockdown, and more recently there’s been a run on cooking oils, though both seem to be resolved at the moment.
This grocery haul comes from the New World on Lunn Avenue. My other frequent grocery store, the New World in Eastridge, was added to the locations of interest list last week, so I won’t be visiting it until it is cleared off the list. For readers outside of New Zealand, the Ministry of Health publishes a list of every known place a covid person has visited. We can check the list to see if we’ve been at any of these places at the same time and test and/or isolated as required. It is an incredibly useful tool that pairs well with the New Zealand Covid Tracer App. And now for the haul:
