Hi.

Welcome to Bumblemom. As my name suggestions, I’m bumbling along as best I can as I navigate a new culture, kids, and style.

Grocery Haul #15

Grocery Haul #15

We are deep into winter season grocery shopping, which means limited variety of produce readily available in the stores and some prices are two to three times higher than other times of year - here’s looking at you $5 cucumbers! While this may sound scary, it really isn’t as bad as some people would have you believe if you are willing to eat seasonally. That means we eat a lot of pumpkin, silverbeet, apples, kiwifruits, etc. this time of year and stay away from the $10 a punnet strawberries - if they’re even available. Things like raspberries, which were an option for my last grocery haul in June, aren’t available now at any cost. This is my least favorite time of year for groceries, but I’m forced to get creative and try new things.
