Grocery Haul #18
It is sad to say, but we are reaching the end of the best time of the year for produce. The summer fruit and veggies are incredible, and I love the variety of wonderful things to eat that simply aren’t available a lot of the year (here’s to you, watermelon!) There are still limits to certain things in the grocery stores - like no more than two bags of flour and no more than two packs of toilet paper at a time - and there has been a shift in things available on the shelves, though there aren’t any more glaringly obvious holes anymore. There are also noticeable price increases on some items as inflation hits the supermarket. Enjoy this week’s grocery haul:
Uncle Toby’s Rolled Oats, 10 count - $4.99 (on sale)
Dairyworks Edam Natural Cheese Slices, 500g - $8.59
Rockmelon - $5.99 (note this is not your average cantaloupe. There are a few different varieties of fruit that all get lumped into the “rockmelon” category. This one is a new one for us!)
Satay Kebabs, 8 count - $7.99
Driscoll’s strawberries, 250g - $5.29
Cherries, 1 kg, $8.99
Heller’s American style hotdogs, 300g - $4.99 (on sale. And yes, my kids think these are totally normal hotdogs.)
