Beer Bread
I’ve made this recipe three times this week as the weather gets colder and we need comfort food. It smells delicious baking in the oven, and it is so simple to put together.
Beer Bread
3 cups All Purpose Flour
3 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt
1/4 cup White Granulated Sugar
1 bottle of beer (I typically use lagers)
1/4-1/2 cup Butter
1/2 cup Milk
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375°F/175°C.
Sift Flour, Baking Powder, Salt, and Sugar into a large mixing bowl.
Pour in Beer and mix into everything is incorporated.
Add Milk and mix. The dough should stick together and be every so slightly on the sticky side.
Grease a loaf pan.
Pour the dough into the loaf pan.
Pour the melted Butter on top.
Bake for 50 minutes to an hour. Let it sit and cool for about 15 minutes before slicing. It won’t last long!
