Hi.

Welcome to Bumblemom. As my name suggestions, I’m bumbling along as best I can as I navigate a new culture, kids, and style.

Indestructible Shoes

Two year old boys are tough on shoes.  My little man puts his shoes through the ringer - from dragging toes on asphalt to puddle jumping.  I've found a few good pairs that hold up to the hell-bent-on-destruction tendencies of a two year old and have to share:

1.  Native Jefferson in Regatta Blue and Bone White - I think every other kid I've seen this summer has been sporting a pair of Native shoes in one of their fun colors - and for good reason!  I love that these shoes are great for water play but comfortable enough to wear out and about.  Plus, they are super easy to get on and off because there are no laces, no velcro, and no buckle.  And they're perfect for those puddles.  A quick rinse in the sink and they are as good as new.

2.  Bopy Verdoba in Beige - I love this French brand!  The sneakers give the appearance of lace-up shoes with the ease and convenience of the zipper on the side.  Sometimes it is just impossible to get Robert to sit still long enough to tie a shoe.

3.  Toke Military Green Fisherman Sandal - These open toed sandals lasted all spring and summer for us.  Besides the slightly scuffed toe (from the aforementioned dragging) and the gently worn leather, they are in amazing shape.  The buckles held up well, and the open toe allowed for plenty of growth.  Bonus - they're made in Brazil!
