Hi.

Welcome to Bumblemom. As my name suggestions, I’m bumbling along as best I can as I navigate a new culture, kids, and style.

Spring is (Almost) Here

Spring is right around the corner, and since I have a little bit better grasp of what life in New Zealand is going to look like, I’ve started to update a few wardrobe pieces to get ready for warmer weather. First up? Neutral shoes. This spring I’m adding a few new items to some older pairs, but I know I’ll wear them all.

** Side note - I’m linking things through Shopbop. I’m not affiliated with them, but I’ve been ordering from them nonstop because they have quick, free shipping to New Zealand if you order more than US$100. The trick is to find the sweet spot between free shipping and not getting hit with customs and duties at the border. There’s an art to that. Their prices aren’t as low as they should be, but the shipping makes up for that. **

Refresh:

Joie Sandals: . Unfortunately, this combo isn’t available in the Sable style anymore, so I’ve linked something similar from Soludos.

Wedge Espadrilles: These have also been in my closet for awhile, and I wear them every. single. spring. I’ve linked a similar style by Castaner here.

Blondo Espadrilles: You know what’s great about these? They’re waterproof. I think Blondo shoes are perfect for New Zealand weather, especially in the rainy spring. This style (in mushroom) replaced my Sam Edelman espadrilles last year, and I wore them all the time.

New:

Hasbeen Braided Clog: Apparently clogs are back! I’m thrilled as these are shockingly comfortable. They have just a little bit of height to help me appear taller than 5’5, but no real heel so they are walkable. I also like the braided detail which is trending this spring. It’s classic with a twist (pun sort of intended).

Loraine Loafer: The Sam Edelman Loarine loafers fit my foot perfectly and are way more comfortable than more expensive options out there. I picked up a pair in nude as my old nude flats were showing their age and needed to be retire.
