Winter Ready
Despite all of my cute pleated skirt options I put together as I was preparing for my 3 months in 1 suitcase, I never actually wore the skirt. Not once. It sat in my closet all last winter, and the thick, velvet fabric wasn’t a realistic option during the warmer months. I’m going to blame our chaotic winter that wasn’t conducive to wearing much of anything other than jeans, but now that things are calming down, and I have things like meetings to go to, I finally got a chance to pull out the pleated, black velvet skirt from the depths of my closet.
New:
Black Boots: I absolutely adore these black cowboy-style boots. I got them from a bespoke boot maker in Istanbul years ago, and I’ve worn them to the brink of death. They’re made with a dark black base, and the embroidery has a slightly green tint. I was so excited to get these when our container arrived! I’ve linked a fun pair of black cowboy boots from Scarpa that can be purchased locally.
Cuyana 3-in-1 mini bag: If you read my YouShop Review post, you’ll know that I am a big fan of this simple black bag that can be worn as a cross body bag, belt bag, or carried as a pouch. Best of all, it can be imported to New Zealand without paying customs or duties.
