Hi.

Welcome to Bumblemom. As my name suggestions, I’m bumbling along as best I can as I navigate a new culture, kids, and style.

The Fairy Shop

The Fairy Shop

If you have a little girl who is obsessed with all things pink, princess, and unicorns, you absolutely must make a stop by The Fairy Shop for a special afternoon treat. We made an impromptu stop on my daughter’s fourth birthday after receiving a truly spectacular fairy dress from her grandmother. We were not disappointed!

My husband had the foresight to call about fifteen minutes before arriving to let them know that we had a little birthday girl coming in, and they made her birthday so special! A big blue fairy appeared out of the back, sprinkled her with fairy dust, and had her completely entranced with girly fairy talk. We got to eat ice cream and pick out a fairy house to take home, which was a relatively inexpensive gift at NZ$25. I was blown away with how special they made her feel with such little notice. It was great customer service and made a four year old’s day.

The Fairy Shop is small, but perfect for a little girl’s imagination. They also host full-on birthday parties for small groups, complete with food, cakes, and characters of your choice. It really is a quaint little place that my daughter is now obsessed with. I am positive we will be back.
